EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY
Community and educational projects:

Jane Turner and TURNING WORLDS are experienced teachers and project leaders and are always interested in new opportunities for developing creative learning and/or performance based projects with new groups in new situations. This is usually linked to their current work in one off workshops or performance-making residencies.
In addition to dance-based content (contemporary and improvisation techniques, choreography, performance skills) these could include:

- working with new technology in performance
- creating interdisciplinary work: objects, writing text, designing space
- exploring identity, representation, expression in a complex world

The most recent projects include:

- a choreographic project at Cardinal Manning secondary school, Luton. Creating the new group choreography for GCSE Dance students. Teacher Danielle Deveney gave all aspects of the content and delivery of this project 10 out of 10.

- a new course for performance makers at London Metropolitan University. The Performance Innovations PG Cert. was an intensive course where performance makers can develop their PRACTICE whilst developing appropriate BUSINESS skills and test their ideas in a supported bespoke PLACEMENT.

-Fuzzy Logic
A creative dance workshop that draws on Nature's systems for compositional strategies. Combining improvisational and theatrical dance techniques with interdisciplinary media leads participants to evolve new ideas, discoveries and performance. Recent workshops took place at Impington 6th Form College, Cambs, and Maltings Arts Centre, St. Albans.

- Lights, Camera, Inter-Action
An intensive workshop for choreographers and interdisciplinary
performance makers interested in making movement-based work that
integrates projected imagery with particular focus on the software
Isadora. Exploring the integration of moving images with
performance using this video/image capture and projection software.
Most recent workshop held at New Cut Arts Centre, Suffolk and London Metropolitan University.
